Tungsten Heavy Alloy
-
Tungsten alloy(heavy alloy) is ideal for shielding against X rays and gamma radiation. The very high density of tungsten shielding (more than 60% denser than lead) allows a reduction in the physical size of shielding components, without compromising their rigidity or the effectiveness of the shielding characteristics. Tungsten alloy radiation shielding is used in applications such as collimator, nuclear shielding, beamstop, PET syringe shield, vial shield, isotope container, FDG container, multi leaf collimator etc.

tungsten nickel copper alloy
Description:
Tungsten-nickel-copper alloy is made of tungsten, nickel, copper and other chemical elements in appropriate proportion. Alloys are mainly with over 85% tungsten and low amounts of nickel, copper, etc. The ratio of added nickel and copper is normally 3:2.WNiCu alloys are produced in processes of liquid phase sintering and added elements alloying, etc. Due to various characteristics and uses of the alloy, the compositions can be divided into main series of W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu, W-Co, W-WC-Cu, W-Ag, etc.Application:
1.WNiCu alloy is widely used in fields of aerospace, aviation, military and oil drilling;
2.It is also applied for electrical instrumentation, medical and industrial purpose;
3.WNiCu alloys can also used for producing balancing weights, high temperature moulds, electro-heat upsetting anvil block, the core of armour piercing shell and protection shields for high-energy rays.Features:
1.Tungsten-nickel-copper alloy has a high density of 16.8g/cm3 to 18.75g/cm3;
2.It has high tensile strength from 700 to 1000 MPa;
3.It owns strongly absorbed radiation capacity, which is about 30% to 40% higher than that of lead;
4.WNiCu alloy has large coefficient of thermal conductivity, which is five times higher than mold steel;
5.The coefficient of thermal expansion is fairy small. The coefficient only accounts for 1/3 to 1/2 of iron or steel’s;
6.Tungsten-nickel-copper alloy possesses good conductive property, high strength as well as good weldability and workability;
7.WNiCu alloy is a kind of non-magnetic metal.Parameters of WNiCu Alloys:
90-97% WNiCu alloy tube as high temperature mouldsProduct Show

A rivet is a permanent mechanical fastener. Before it is installed it consists of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head on one end. The end opposite the head is called the buck-tail. On installation the rivet is placed in a punched or pre-drilled hole.
