Product Description

Platinum Iridium Wire Platinum90% iridium10% is a binary platinum-based alloy containing iridium. It is a continuous solid solution at high temperature, and the solid phase decomposes when it is cooled to 975 ~ 700C, but the phase equilibrium process is very slow. The volatility and oxidizing properties of iridium significantly improve the corrosion resistance of platinum. Ptlrl0, Ptlr15, Ptlr25, Ptlr30 and other alloys have the characteristics of high hardness, high melting point, high corrosion resistance and low contact resistance. The chemical corrosion rate is 58% of that of pure platinum, and the oxidation weight loss is 2.8 mg/g.
